Crosslin has expanded its tax and accounting services base by acquiring Hickman & Associates, CPAs, P.C., an accounting and consulting firm located in Nashville. With the combination of companies, Crosslin is now able to offer family office services providing families with their own CFO to care for their financial well-being in addition to its staple tax compliance, tax planning, entrepreneurial business, and bookkeeping services.

Dell Crosslin, managing principal. “By acquiring Hickman & Associates, we will be able to add services and expertise while continuing to embody the same commitment to excellence and high quality service that both companies have delivered since inception.”
With this expansion, Crosslin has added several new team members. Kevin Hickman joins as a tax principal; Tiffany Beckham and Aarika Williams as tax staff; Emily Hickman as an entrepreneurial accountant; Jolee Brantley as an executive assistant; and Leigh Ann Barrett as an administrative assistant.
Kevin Hickman, CPA, CGMA, brings nearly 35 years of experience to Crosslin. He most recently served as founding officer of Hickman & Associates and, before founding his own firm, worked as tax manager for a local accounting firm and assistant controller/tax manager for Tom James Company. He is a past national council member for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and is past chair of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA). Hickman has held several leadership roles within the TSCPA, including treasurer, professional education chair, public relations committee chair, and president of the Nashville Chapter Board.
Hickman received his bachelor’s degree from David Lipscomb University and his master’s in European History from American Military University. He is an accomplished tennis player, having received numerous local and state recognitions.
Beckham served as staff accountant at Hickman & Associates and previously worked as special projects manager for Cumberland Surgical Associates. She is a member of the TSCPA, serving on both the Federal Tax and Activities Committees. Beckham received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Middle Tennessee State University and her master’s degree in accountancy from Lipscomb University.
Williams also served as staff accountant at Hickman & Associates and previously worked as purchasing coordinator for Lipman Brothers. She is a member of the TSCPA, where she serves on the Activities Committee. She received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Middle Tennessee State University.
Emily Hickman served as an administrative assistant at Hickman & Associates before joining Crosslin. She received her bachelor’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University.
Brantley brings 22 years of small tax firm experience to Crosslin, having started with Hickman & Associates at its inception.
Barrett joins Crosslin’s operations team with more than 18 years of experience in managing facilities and support services. She previously served as manager of general services for Southwestern/Great American, Inc. and also as supervisor of the Nashville facility for Asurion. She is a member of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) and the International Nortel Networks User Association (INNUA).
