With more than 30 years of experience in accounting, particularly in tax compliance and consulting, Dan has specific expertise in not-for-profit, corporation and partnership taxation, professional services, healthcare, manufacturing, real estate, healthcare, automobile dealerships, multi-state taxation, retail and wholesale operations, small business tax and consulting, and IRS representation.
Dan has a solid working knowledge of tax theory, and a demonstrated understanding and application of technical aspects of businesses, including educational institutions, not-for-profits, partnerships, corporations, LLC’s, individuals, and trusts.
Prior to joining Crosslin, Dan served as a tax manager at a local Nashville firm. While there, Dan was a member of the management team responsible for providing tax compliance services to a variety of customers and multi-state companies. He developed new business and managed existing customer relationships. Dan assigned, supervised, coached, and mentored staff of multiple concurrent engagements.
Dan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a member of the Columbia Breakfast Rotary Club, and a graduate of the Rainmaker Academy Open 2010 Leadership Academy. In the past, Dan served as treasurer of the Jacksonville Quarterback Club and was a member of the ToccoaStephens County Jaycees. Additionally, he served as the treasurer, secretary, vice-president, and president of the Northeast Georgia Chapter of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (1995-1998).
